Split Pea Soup


A traditional green split pea soup inspired by the recipe Angela Latta’s gramma made for years.  This is as close as it gets to homemade without starting with the ham bone.  Enjoy prepared according to instructions, or add chopped ham for a nice addition.

Product Description

Combine soup package with 7 cups of water in a medium sized pot.  Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours until peas are cooked down. Stir often so soup doesn’t burn to bottom.  Can be made in a large crock pot set on high, but the finished product will be slightly thinner in texture.  Serves 4 to 5.
